People think that CCDI only got little population. They might even overlook their capabilities but there is only one thing that I assure you, “Don’t ever underestimate the heart of a champion!”
In accordance with the institution’s foundation week and sports’ fest held last February 12 – 17, 2018, an evening event on the 15th was set to highlight the talents of CCDIians at the school’s session hall. Therefore, the five teams: Leadership, Excellence, Integrity, Loyalty, and Service, chose representatives among their members to participate in the said event.
The number of acts was fifteen and consisted of solo and group performers. Mr. Psalm Geraldino hosted the event, and of course, it was impossible to accomplish without the panel of judges: Mr. Chuck Nares, Ms. Sharmaine Diesta, and Mr. Rio Sumallo.
The chill felt by the audiences didn’t came from the ambience of the night but was brought by the participants’ harmonious and melodious voices, awesome and sick guitar plays, groovy and energetic dance moves, and a wicked human beat boxing! The night was lit! As in, literally. The act that stood the best was poi dancing or famously known as fire dancing. Not only had the fire amazed the audience but also the entire performance.
The audience was full of excitement in waiting for the judges’ decision on who will be the winner. The judges had a hard time in selecting whom will they pronounce as the champion and the runners-up, yet the event was still on not until the winners were announced. After a few minutes, the winners were named: Champion – Errol John Francisco: fire dancing, 1st Runner-up, Karen Mae Camacho: singing, 2nd Runner-up, Liecel Alcomedas: singing, 3rd Runner-up, Jeth Divina: electric guitar solo.
The night was a great success. The event had spoken the undeniable truth that CCDI do, really have talent. #JalmascoJ.
