In an impressive display of mathematical prowess, the Computer Communication Development Institute (CCDI) clinched the first-place title in the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Provincial Elimination. The event took place on October 28, 2024, at the Sangguniang Panglungsod, Session Hall of the Sorsogon City Hall.
CCDI was represented by three highly talented students: Evan Cyrell Mendoza, Leo T. Garbida, and Francis Anjayro E. Salon. Competing individually, these participants demonstrated outstanding statistical skills, with Francis Anjayro E. Salon emerging as the overall champion in the province. This victory highlights the dedication and talent fostered within CCDI’s academic community.
Bicol Marine Merchant College, Inc. (BMMCI) earned second and third place
honors, showcasing their commendable abilities in the competition. The success of both schools underscores the high level of statistical education within the Sorsogon province.
The provincial champions from CCDI will advance to represent Sorsogon in the regional elimination, set for
November 8, 2024. The winner of this regional competition will proceed to the national finals in Manila on December 5, 2024, vying for the prestigious title of PSQ National Champion.
