ON September 17, 2024, CCDI-Sorsogon hosted an acquaintance party with the theme “fire and ice”. Students entered the school in themed outfits, and the SSG hosted games. The school administrator, Mr. Edgar C. Balasta, delivered a speech outlining the school’s vision for the year and inspiring students to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead. The SaySusArte’s dance performance set the stage for entertainment, and the ceremony continued with the oath-taking for club, department, and SSG officers.
The “Ice and Fire” theme came alive with a fire dancing act and a lively rave party, with students dancing away energized by the music and fun. The event also featured a dance competition, with departments competing in rhythm and creativity. BSIT, BSIS, ACT, and senior high school students showcased their unique styles, earning applause from the crowd.
The evening took an unexpected turn with a modeling segment featuring “Kabogera” attire, showcasing the school’s cultural heritage and adding a touch of playful flair. The night concluded with a dazzling show dance performance and the awarding of prizes to the winners of the various competitions. The event left everyone with a sense of excitement and anticipation for the year ahead, a testament to the power of community and the spirit of “Ice and Fire.”
