Introducing TVL animation track offered by Computer Communication Development Institute (CCDI), an Inter-Secondary Character Designing Competition was presented to the young Sorsoganon artists with passion to animation and art.
The competition encourages Grade 10 students from any private or public high school around the province of Sorsogon. Every school is open to send maximun of 10 entries.
The submission of entries already started last February 10, 2018, and the awarding was initially scheduled last February 16. The awarding, however, is postponed to March 17 due to certain circumstances, and the submission of entries is extended until March 10.
The character designs are expected to depict the four core values of CCDI: Excellence, Leadership, Integrity, and Service which will be named as Super Sessedio, hero, and Wonder Ceddy, heroine. Likewise, the designs are also required to utilize the four main colors of the institution: royal blue, red, white, and gray.
CCDI offers plenitude of prize to the winners of the competition: first prize will receive Php 5, 000, full scholarship, medallion, certificate, trophy; second prize will receive Php 3, 000, full scholarship, medallion, certificate, trophy; and the third prize is to receive Php 1,500, full scholarship, medallion, certificate, and trophy. Thirty consolation prizes will also be awarded with a Certificate of Full Scholarship in Senior High School.
One of the objectives of the competition is to encourage the students to engage in digital arts and animation and consider it as an exciting field in Information Technology. It also aims to introduce animation as one of the booming career opportunities for young Sorsoganons. #GGualvez
